PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy, as of March 2021

Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your personal data. At Dripplug, your personal data is only collected, processed and used in accordance with the provisions of the applicable data protection law. Our data protection practice is therefore in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation "GDPR" and the German Data Protection Adaptation and Implementation Act EU ("BDSG-neu").

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person (Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR). This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address and all inventory data that you provide to us when registering and creating your customer account. This does not include statistical data or anonymized data that we collect, for example, when you visit our web store and that cannot be directly linked to your person.

Section 1 - What do we do with your data?

When you buy something in our store as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal data you provide, such as your name, address and e-mail address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer to provide us with information that helps us learn more about your browser and operating system. With your consent, we can send you e-mails about our store, new products and other updates.

Section 2 - Consent

If you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we agree that we will collect and use that information only for that specific reason. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing efforts, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent or give you the opportunity to say no. If you change your mind after signing up, you can withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for further collection, use or disclosure of your information at any time by contacting us by email at [email protected].

Section 3 - Disclosure

We may disclose your personal data if we are required to do so by law or if you breach our terms of use.

Section 4 - Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored via Shopify's data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

When you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card information. It is encrypted by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is only stored for as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Once the transaction has been completed, your transaction data will be deleted. All direct payment gateways comply with PCI-DSS standards, which are managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint project of brands such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. The PCI-DSS requirements help to ensure the secure handling of credit card data by our store and its service providers. For more information, you can also read Shopify's Terms and Conditions (https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms) or Privacy Policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).

Section 5 - Use of Google Analytics

This website uses the "Google Analytics" service offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyze website usage by users. The service uses "cookies." The information collected by the cookies is generally sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is used on this website. The IP address of users is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. As part of the contract data agreement that the website operators have concluded with Google Inc., Google Inc. uses the information collected to compile an analysis of website usage and website activity and provides services related to internet usage. You have the option of preventing the storage of cookies on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. There is no guarantee that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies. Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and used by Google Inc (see here and here).

Section 6 - Use of Instagram social plugins

Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"). The plugins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an "Instagram camera". An overview of the Instagram plugins and their appearance can be found here: http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges. When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Instagram" button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed to your contacts there. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Instagram as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Instagram's data protection information: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/. If you do not want Instagram to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the Instagram plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, for example with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).

Section 7 - Disclosure of personal data

In order to process payments, we pass on your payment data to the credit institution commissioned with the payment.

Section 8 - Third-party services

In general, the third party service providers we use will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to enable them to provide the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party providers, such as payment gateways and other payment processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so that you can understand how your personal data is processed by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than you or us. Therefore, if you choose to engage in a transaction using the services of a third party provider, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. Once you leave our store's website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer subject to this Privacy Policy or our website's Terms and Conditions. If you click on links in our store, they may take you away from our website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Section 9 - Safety

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry standard procedures to ensure that it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. When you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) and stored using AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage media is completely secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted procedures.

Section 10 - Cookies

The following cookies are used on our website: "_session_id, unique token, sessional" allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.). "_shopify_visit, no data available, persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit" is used by our website provider's internal statistics tracker to record the number of visits, "_shopify_uniq, no data available, expires at midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day" counts the number of visits to our website by a single customer. "Shopping cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks" stores information about the contents of your shopping cart, "_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite" determines whether the current visitor has access to the store. Cookies are collected with the "GDPR/CCPA + Cookie Management" tool.

By using this website, you declare that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence or that you have reached the age of majority in your country of residence.

in your country of residence and you have given us your consent for your minor relatives to use this website.

Section 12 - Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately after they are published on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here. If our store or parts of it are acquired or merged with another company, your data may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue to sell products to you.
